I'm taking this week to decompress before September hits me like a Mack truck. I'm in pastoral care at the hospital Wednesday & Thursday, I have 4-H on Friday and that's it. Saturday, we're planning a last hurrah for the summer for our family. If the weather's fair, we'll visit Antietam, have a picnic lunch, see Harpers Ferry, then visit my husband's family. (We had a picnic and visited the battlefield at Manassas before going to the Def Leppard concert a couple weeks ago.) If the weather is foul, we'll skip the battlefields and hit the outlet mall in Hagerstown instead. I don't know whether to hope for rain or shine. LOL
Today is the kids' first day of school and I'm celebrating by doing a whole lot of nothing. I have a couple follow-up calls to make for our Fun Day. Otherwise, I'll sit on the couch knitting my fingers to the bone while watching scary movies I normally can't watch until my boys are in bed (by then, I'm too tired to make it through the whole movie, LOL). I told my mother-in-law that I'd knit her some pumpkins to decorate with so there you are. I might make a few for my sister-in-law, too, who knows.
