My kids are insensitve, inconsiderate, & insert any other negative adjective here

My family had best hope I never go back to work. Ever. I went Vesuvius yesterday (and honestly, I'm still erupting) because for the the third day in a row, I came home to find our home thrashed. Utterly thrashed. I mean, I haven't seen damage like this outside of a flood zone or tornado hit. That bad.

So every night, after working all day and meetings all night, I'd have to come home and pick up the debris field before collapsing into bed.

For the last three days.

What makes yesterday even more inexcusable is I had my young sons with me. The girls (teenagers) trashed the place all by their lovely selves and just couldn't be bothered to pick up in their jam-packed schedule of napping & gamecube.

There are no words to describe how infuriated I am.

All of the kids are grounded - and that includes the tall one in college. Especially her - she should know better! I filled in for our church secretary all week and my week was fairly full besides. I could've used some help. Just for one lousy week. Apparently, expecting anyone other than my husband to pitch in for that one lousy week was incredible foolish. Instead, I swear each of the kids worked their level best to make the situation even worse.

So be it.

The kids are going to learn a very hard lesson today, but they will learn it thoroughly. We all are members of this family and all of us are responsible for making this family work. Not just me. Not just Daddy. ALL.

Oh, but I am mad.
