Work, work, work

I've been making calls and begging various people for programs & materials for the Emergency Preparedness & Safety Fun Day. Received a boatload of brochures, coloring/activity bks and presentation materials (including powerpoints!) from FEMA in yesterday's mail and although I won't hear back until today or Monday to nail down the time, I've got one presenter for sure so far. Fireman's Bash is this wkend so the Fire Dept is kinda busy (LOL), but I'm hopeful about getting the Safehouse, possibly another demo independent of the Safehouse from the Fire Dept, too. More calls today to AHEC, 911 admin, Rolling Springs Water Bottling and Lowes. Also need to call BSA about having someone come out to do the Safety Afloat and Safe Swim Defense trainings. Waiting on email responses from 2 other agencies and messages I left on 2 more agencies' voicemails...

Considering I started working on the event Monday, I think things are shaping up rather nicely. ;-)

Pack cook-out & t-shirt tie-dye is this evening. Finished a rough draft of our recruitment packet to show the rest of the leaders so I can make any necessary changes.

My neighbor had her baby 2 days ago so I've got her boy all day again today.

The day hasn't even started and I'm already exhausted!
