I cannot afford to be this sick

I had to skip working concessions during the big Fort Hill game last night because I've become an incubator for viral plague. I'm still running around, getting stuff done, primarily because I have to, but no way was I willing to spread my germy self around people's food, KWIM? Folks around here would tar and feather me - I wouldn't blame them.

Today, we're taking my stepdaughter to the animal shelter to pick out a kitty. Oh yeah. We need another critter around here like I need a hole in my head. (Actually, an extra hole in my noggin might be useful at the moment --- maybe my sinuses would drain faster, ROTFL!). But we promised her a cat of her own. We also need ink so she can print her reports for class on Monday and since I'm apparently too lazy (or sick, as it happens) to figure out the router cords, pick up a wireless router. We also have to buy Bibles to award to our kindergarteners tomorrow.

Did I mention I'm leading kids games at our church picnic tomorrow afternoon?

I'm also knitting toboggans for soldiers deployed in the colder regions of Afghanistan and Iraq. Whether or not I support the war is immaterial when it comes to supporting the soldiers themselves. They need hats. So I'm knitting hats.

I can afford to be sick on Monday. And if I skip volunteer training at my son's school, I can be sick Tuesday, too.

Otherwise, I'm just doomed.
