In theory, this was supposed to be one of my "off" weeks. I only had Awanas (in which Doug was teaching so no lesson for me to prepare), the pack meeting (no activities to prepare - I just had to help with decorations, setting up and the like), working at the hospital, finally taking my turn in concessions and preparing/teaching my Sunday School lesson for this week. And Yom Kippur to recognize and honor, albeit belatedly.
*SNORT*
Here it is Friday and I have no idea where the week went. But I certainly wasn't "off."
Perhaps I need to revise my definition for an "easy" week. ROTFL
This morning, given that I can get my van to start, I'm answering phones in pastoral care as soon as I get all the kids off to school. Friday's not my usual day at the hospital, but today's the Institute of Medicine & Religion workshop so they're exceedingly short-handed. And I'm due in concessions tonight. I'm mostly healthy, praise God, but as I was telling my husband yesterday, the well is empty. Burnout is not pretty. I'm not completely there yet, but this is as close as I like to get.
IF I take tonight off, after all...I'm still knitting hats for soldiers (my deadline is approaching), finishing off the pumpkins I promised to knit my MIL, reading Jesus as God and the new Bowman book and I also need to call around area roller rinks re entry/rental costs since I'd like to take both my dens skating in lieu of a den meeting next week. Oh, and I need to sew the patches onto all 4 of our Cub Scout uniforms since the patch glue is no longer holding and sew the patches my sons were awarded at last night's pack meeting onto their patch blankets...
Ack.
